M_o_R Foundation Certification

Purpose

The M_o_R (Management of Risk) Foundation certification provides foundational knowledge and understanding necessary to contribute effectively to the identification, assessment, and control of risks across an organization. It covers how the four elements of the M_o_R framework support corporate governance, ensuring a controlled approach to risk management. This certification also serves as a prerequisite for the M_o_R Practitioner certification.

The M_o_R Foundation certification is ideal for individuals and organizations seeking guidance on risk management at various levels, including strategic, programme, project, and operational perspectives. It is particularly suited for:

  • Business Change Managers: Those overseeing and managing business changes.

  • Programme and Project Managers: Professionals managing programmes and projects who need a solid understanding of risk management principles.

  • Risk Managers: Individuals focused on identifying and mitigating risks within an organization.

  • Business, Programme, and Project Support Staff and Managers: Those involved in supporting and managing business, programme, and project activities.

  • Operational Staff and Managers: Personnel responsible for day-to-day operations and risk management.

  • Staff and Managers from Other Disciplines: Particularly those responsible for establishing standards and integrating risk management practices with MoP® portfolio management, MSP® programme management, and PRINCE2® project management.

 

Exam Format

  • Question Type: Multiple choice

  • Number of Questions: 75 questions per paper

    • Note: Five questions are ‘trial questions’ and do not count towards the final score.

  • Passing Marks: 35 marks required to pass (50% of total available marks)

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Exam Conditions: Closed book
